Online Studies

You will be able to complete the course from your own home, via our Learner Management System.  Our Key Benefits will ensure you stay motivated whilst studying with International Culinary Studio.  Once you have registered, your e-Portfolio will be accessible and your learning material available on any pc, portable or mobile smart device (see technology requirements).  Our Chef Instructors will be available and will guide you through your programme to successful course completion.

 Please note this course does not require any actual cooking but does require you to be able to create menu items using the knowledge you have learnt during the course.

 Course Outline

  • Eating for Health: Nutrition and Guidelines (The Australian and New Zealand Guidelines are used)
  • Introduction to nutrients, their functions and general food sources
  • The Nutritional Value of Foods
  • Lifestyle Diets, Health Diets and Religious/Cultural Diets
  • Understanding safe ingredients and cross contamination
  • Food sensitivity and allergies explained
  • An understanding of diets for Coeliac, Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Restricting Sodium, Diabetics, Cholesterol and Weight Loss
  • Religion based and Cultural diets – preparation and cooking for different religions

 On completion of this Special Diets course, you could progress into any of the other short courses, i.e. Food Safety in Catering or start a career in Culinary Arts following one of our Professional Programmes.

This self-paced programme could be completed in under 3 months.  A maximum of 6 months is allowed to complete this course.

International Culinary Studio: Certificate of Achievement

Once you have successfully completed this programme you will be awarded with an International Culinary Studio Certificate of Achievement and a Digital Badge.

  • Monthly Payment @ $ 99 Deposit followed by 2 Monthly Payments of $ 75 per month, or
  • Weekly Payment @ $ 99 Deposit followed by 4 Weekly Payments of $ 40 per week.

Minimum Enrolment Requirements

  • You must be 16 years or older.

Other Additional Costs

You need to prepare for the following additional costs, depending on your programme:

  • Ingredients used for practicing all recipes at home or at the workplace.
  • Costs to purchase any technology  and/or kitchen equipment that you may not have, but need to use in the programme. (see included lists of requirements)
  • Cost of your internet access.
  • Any printing you choose to do from the Study Guides.
